Managerial Changes

Posted by bc57 on February 8, 2018 at 6:40 PM

Despite a win and a draw against two of the top teams in our division and a very good performance at Kilbirnie in the Scottish Cup in our past 3 games the club have taken the decision to part company with manager Paul Burns and his two assistants Sean McKenna and Liam Edward.

Paul stepped in after the departure in early season of John Brogan. I am sorry to see Paul leave as he has been a great servant to Lanark over the years.  Sean and Liam will be a loss to the playing squad.

The appointment of ex Carluke manager Colin Slater and his former assistants was announced simultaneously by the club.  I wish him and his team well and hope that our momentum can be maintained in the local derby against his previous employers this coming Saturday.
