Lanark Utd 4-2 St Anthony's

Posted by Yowe6 on February 4, 2017 at 12:50 PM

Despite losing a goal in the second minute Lanark went on to dominate the game and played some nice football to boot.  At last we managed to score a penalty for our opener via Paul Burns.

Very well deserved 4-2 victory for Lanark today, despite going 1 down very early on.

Totally outplayed our opposition today and should have won by a few more. This said, Gareth had a couple of important saves at critical times. We even scored a penalty thanks to 'auld heid' Paul Burns.

We scored a couple of cracking goals today. Capable of playing some good football even in spite of some harsh 'tackling', clearly condoned by our opponents but, not a surprise, given past experience.
DD back to great form. Ronan, developing with every game, his pace is a constant threat.
Team played really well today, overall.

Still 3rd and bearing down on 2nd spot. Promotion still very much in our own hands. Won 6, drawn 4 and lost away to the league leaders since first weekend of October.
