Vale of Leven 1 - 2 Lanark Utd

Posted by Yowe6 on January 28, 2017 at 12:35 PM

Lanark again made hard work of this but perseverance paid off with two goals in the second half after going in at half time one down to one of only two Vale chances throughout the game. Sorry about the quality of the photos today but it was damp and miserable.

Two shots of Cameron Lawson's goal from a quality free kick.  Dubious penalty and sending off but we still managed to miss. Winner result of some great passing.

Well done.

We are making a healthy habit of grinding out results by scoring late in matches. Two excellent goals scored and a few good chances missed, not least of which was another penalty.
Cameron Lawson continued his great form with another MoM display topped off by an excellent equaliser from a free kick.
I too did not think the lad handled on the line so the penalty award was harsh, the red card even harsher.
The substitutions and by putting DD and Ronan upfront made a big difference to us tactically.
8 games to go and still in 3rd place so promotion still very much in our own hands.
