Saturdays game v Port Glasgow

Posted by Yowe6 on November 9, 2015 at 4:30 AM

I only saw the second half but by all accounts the first half was just as good. Great entertainment with 4 goals either half it was great to see some fun back in the game.  Alan McCrum telling the boss he had saved his arse and he was off to Shotts!

Ports number 3 raiding our bag of warm up balls to get the game going!

Ryan filling in for our goalie who forgot his boots.... and had a great couple of vital saves!

Posh ref!

Some meaty tackles!

All that with some great football on an unbelievable surface considering the amount of rain we had!

It was another great result for us on Saturday against a solid Port Glasgow team. Over the piece, it was a well deserved and comfortable victory for us. It was pleasing to score 5 goals and be more clinical in front of goal than in previous matches. There were excellent performances all over the park and again this is pleasing for us knowing we have such a strong bench at our disposal too.

I big challenge awaits us this week as we travel to Kilsyth in the west of Scotland. A team who have started well in 2 leagues higher than ourselves will be a tough one to break down but hopefully it's a challenge that the players will relish on a break from league duty.

We should have a full squad to choose from this week with no injuries or suspensions so there will be tough decisions in terms of team selection but it's a good position to be in. Hopefully we can keep our run of good form going!
