A great performance and result today from the full team.

Bryan Caldwell put Lanark ahead after around 10 minutes with a neatly taken goal from close range. Lanark pressed for a second goal before the break and were looking dangerous, Alan McCrum had the best chance, after some neat play on the right he found himself through on goal but shot wide. Cambuslang leveled the score shortly afterwards and that was how it stayed until half time.

After the break Cambuslang took the lead. Once again though Bryan Caldwell was on hand to put Lanark back level, a predatory finish from a great cross from the returning Alan McCrum. Alan was at the centre of the action again when he was on the end of a poor challenge from a Rangers midfielder who was shown a straight red card, no complaints from the player.

The Yowes pressed on from here and Cammy Lawson put them ahead with a thumping header from close range. Lanark coped well with some pressure from Cambuslang who went all out to find the equaliser despite their numerical disadvantage, Lanark dealing well with some dangerous aerial balls. However, this left plenty of room on the break for Lanark and after having two efforts cleared off the line they got the goal to seal the points, Stuart Mitchell who had come on as a substitute burst down the right wing and drove into the box, rolling the ball back to Ryan Hutchinson who tucked the ball home. Hutchinson added a second with the final kick of the ball, through on goal he slowed up at the edge of the box and hammered a dipping shot past the goalkeeper.

A fantastic result away from home and some great periods of play throughout the match. Solid performances all over the pitch.

Reults from our league today, plenty of high scoring matches!

To clear up confusion the above report was submitted by Gavin and not BC57. Sorry for the confusion!

Fantastic result on Saturday first and foremost, and the display in the last 30 minutes was outstanding.

We knew it'd be a hard game and it proved that way. We were disappointed not to be in a more commanding position at half time having spurned a few good chances but we said at half time that if we could raise the tempo of our play, things would go our way. After losing the 2nd goal we weathered a 10 minute storm but then the game turned totally around.

Cambuslang couldn't cope with McCrum in the middle of the park and our pace in wide areas. The red card for them obviously affected the game to our advantage but the way we were playing, who is to say we wouldn't have won the game anyway.

It was a good feeling to score 5 also as that's been coming for a few weeks with chance after chance being created.

Top of the league heading into Scottish Cup weekend so we can't complain!

Yes Celtic Tiger, good times! Although the report looks under my name it was actually compiled by BC57 who obviously has a better memory (and repertoir) than me!

Top report on the game Yowe6, and an excellent performance by the team.

After missing a hat full of chances, we were put under pressure for the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half. Then the game opened up after the sending off.

Thought the management made a excellent tactical substitution moving Alan McCrum, into the centre of the park, and putting Speedy on wide right. Slightly disappointed in Paul Ross's attitude when being substituted, heading straight down the tunnel, and not returning, however I understand he is frustrated, after being out injured for a period of time, and in my opinion still not fully fit.

The difference this year, is the management have the team believing they can win, and there is more competition for places, with nobody guaranteed a place in the starting line up!

Though our stand in keeper, showed authority in his area, and was constantly barking orders to the back four.

Excellent team effort and display. Keep up the good work.
